1. Who we are
AudienceMeter is a tool that lets speakers collect anonymous live feedback from their audience during talks. This policy covers the audiencemeter.pro web app, the AudienceMeter Chrome extension, and the public feedback pages reached via QR code or short link.
2. What we collect
Speaker accounts
- Email address and display name (used for authentication and to identify your sessions).
- Sessions you create (title, schedule, questions, generated link slugs).
- Aggregated feedback responses tied to your sessions.
Audience feedback
- Anonymous responses (numeric ratings, multiple choice, free text).
- An opaque attendee ID generated client-side to prevent duplicate submissions within a session. The ID is not linked to your identity and is not exposed to the speaker.
- We do not collect names, email addresses, IP-based location, or device fingerprints from audience members.
Chrome extension
- Sign-in token — kept in browser
chrome.storageso the extension can call our API on your behalf. Token never leaves your browser except in requests toapi.audiencemeter.proand*.supabase.co. - Overlay preferences — last-used session ID, overlay collapsed/expanded state. Stored locally.
- The extension does not read or transmit page
contents from any site you visit.
activeTabandscriptingare used only to inject the overlay element on the current tab when you press Alt+A.
3. How we use the data
- To run the sessions you create and show you their feedback.
- To generate the AI-summarized report card for each session.
- To keep you signed in across the web app and extension.
We do not sell your data and do not show advertising. We do not share feedback content with third parties beyond the infrastructure providers listed below.
4. Third parties
- Supabase — database, auth, and realtime updates.
- OpenAI — generating report-card summaries from aggregated feedback. Free-text responses are sent to OpenAI's API; OpenAI does not train on API data per their published policy.
- Cloudflare / hosting provider — serving the web app and API.
5. Retention
Session data and feedback responses are retained while your account is active. You can delete an individual session at any time from the dashboard, which permanently removes its questions and responses. Deleting your account removes all associated sessions and feedback.
6. Your rights
Email privacy@audiencemeter.pro to request access, correction, or deletion of your data. We respond within 30 days.
7. Children
AudienceMeter is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
8. Changes
If we materially change this policy we will update the "Last updated" date and, for account holders, send a notice by email.
